These were The O’Jays’ eleventh and twelfth albums for Philadelphia International, issued in 1980 and 1982, both Top 10 Billboard R&B albums (they also charted on the Pop chart).The albums feature four hit singles in ‘Girl Don’t Let It Get You Down’ (#3), ‘Once Is Not Enough’, ‘I Just Want to Satisfy’, ‘Your Body’s Here with Me (But Your Mind’s on the Other Side of own)’. While label bosses Gamble and Huff were responsible for writing and producing most of the Year 2000, My Favorite Person features writing and production by The O’Jays themselves, in league with McFadden & Whitehead and Cecil Womack.
