About the Artist

Elena Bennett is a fixture in the cabaret and jazz rooms of New York, New England and South Florida, specializing in an enormous swing repertoire, blues, rock, and an acclaimed tribute to Edith Piaf. She won the Manhattan Association of Cabaret’s Hanson Award in 1997 and Backstage’s Bistro Award for Outstanding Vocalist in 1998. The same year, Elena made a smashing recording debut with “A Wrinkle In Swingtime,” a big-band collection arranged by her longtime collaborator Fred Barton (“Forbidden Broadway,” “Miss Gulch Returns”). A sequel album is currently in production for release 2003-4. Elena starred in off-Broadway’s “Erik And The Snow Maidens,” and in 2002 toured the country in the big-band revue “Forever Swing.”
