How To Pick The Right Fountain Pump
Find your fountain’s pumping height by measuring from the water level to the highest point that the water reaches.
Choose a fountain pump that has an Ideal Pumping Height greater than the height you measured. All TotalPond pumps have a built-in flow control feature. Select a larger pump and reduce the flow to your desired effect. Be sure to dial it down, too much flow and your fountain can run out of water and the pump might burn out. If the pump is not powerful enough for the fountain, there will not be enough flow or spray.
TIPS:
- If the pump is too small for the fountain, there will not be enough flow or spray.
- If the pump is too large, it can run out of water and burn itself out.
