About the Artist

Jim Gibson has been, for many years, one of the Southeast’s busiest commercial pianists, providing music for literally thousands of social and corporate events. Jim says, “If it can be done on a piano, I’ve probably done it–playing events from airplane hangers and trains to the most sophisticated society events. One thing I’ve learned from all this experience is that people enjoy hearing the melody, and that they like familiar songs. So, in these CDs, I’ve tried to combine great old tunes with a relaxed and melodic approach.”

Jim has also played extensively in Europe, mostly in Italy and France. He has written four books on the music business and served as temporary chair of Georgia State University’s Music Industry program.

He has two children and lives in Atlanta
