This Marples M2154 Mortice and Marking Gauge is fitted with hardened steel spurs. The hole in the stock is carefully broached to match the stem’s contour, and the gauge is fitted with a polyester friction pad between the thumb screw and stem to ensure a smooth sliding action. Marples gauges are made of plantation grown rosewood providing not only high quality but also a visible expression of superiority of Marples products.
