About the Author
“We, the bodhisattvas of compassion who love humanity immensely, state: as long as there is a single tear in any human eye, as long as there is even one suffering heart, we refuse to accept the happiness of Nirvana. We must seek the means to become more and more useful to this wretched, suffering humanity.” (Samael Aun Weor, The Major Mysteries)
Samael Aun Weor wrote over sixty books, gave thousands of lectures, and formed the worldwide Gnostic Movement, whose members number in the millions. Though these accomplishments are certainly impressive by any standard, they are merely the pale terrestrial reflection of the work he accomplished internally, spiritually. And yet, in spite of his wisdom and generosity towards mankind, he said:
“Do not follow me. I am just a signpost. Reach your own Self-realization.”
His lifelong mission was to deliver to humanity the total and exact science required by anyone of any religion, race, culture or creed who wishes to fully and completely develop as a human being. The path he taught is the Path of the Bodhisattva, that mysterious and ancient wisdom long hidden in the bosom of every great religion.
“It is necessary to study our own “I” if we really love our fellowmen. It is indispensable to comprehend that only by putting an end to the factors of egotism and cruelty (that each one of us carries within) can we create a better world, a world without hunger and fear. Society is the individual. The world is the individual. Therefore, if the individual fundamentally changes, the world will inevitably change. The consciousness is in critical danger and only by radically transforming ourselves as individuals can we save ourselves and save humanity.” (Samael Aun Weor, The Revolution of the Dialectic)
