Gather Your Assistants and Start ShelvingOver a series of rounds Librarians will send out their assistants to gather books for their bookshelves. They will use action spaces to do this in hopes of acquiring the most prominent books with a large variety of subjects. |
Be Ready for the Mayor’s Official Inspector to Judge Your LibraryShe will use her Official Inspection Form to grade your library on several criteria including alphabetical order, shelf stability, prominent works, and variety. And don’t think she’ll turn a blind eye to books the Council has banned. |
How to Play

The Preperation PhaseBeginning each round, the 1st player will reveal one location tile per player to form the board. Then deal cards to the tiles that require them. |
The Placement PhaseSending as assistant to a location tile with an empty space, or on your personal library tile which is always available. The location tiles willeither have an immediate effect, or a delayed effect for when the round is over. |
The Resolution PhaseOnce players have no more assistants to place, the locations get resolved in numerical order, if they have a delayed effect. Then all leftover cards are discarded from any location. |
The Clean Up PhaseAfter all locations have been resolved, remove all but the lowest numerical board from play and move that lowest value to the town board. This tile is now available for each subsequent round. Check to see if any player triggers the final round. |
