The Drive Cubelet is an ACT Cubelet that adds wheels to your robot creation. Add more actuators to give your robot actions! Easy to use, simply snap onto your robot construction and see the difference immediately. Cubelets are robot blocks that help teach important problem-solving skills – like collaboration, engineering, design, and computational thinking. Why blocks? You can build all sorts of things with blocks. Our world is made of blocks. Wood and brick blocks form our homes. Inside, glass blocks filled with code blocks bend light into blocks of letters that shape our perspectives. And now – robot blocks can help you build better thinkers. The experiences we create for students shape them. Cubelets are designed to help students build cognitive skills. So they can solve the biggest problems and teach all the standards we need to cover.

Make your robot roll. Add to any Cubelets kit to extend your robot. Contains a motor and roller wheels for moving on a horizontal surface. The Drive Cubelet only moves in one direction, slowing to a stop with a value of zero and moving faster with higher input values. Anyone can build robots that drive around on a tabletop, respond to light and other objects and have surprisingly lifelike behavior. Instead of programming that behavior, you snap the Cubelets together and watch the behavior emerge like with a flock of birds or a swarm of bees. Each Cubelet has a tiny computer inside of it and is a robot in its own right. When you put Cubelets together, you’re actually making a robot out of several smaller robots. Each Cubelet communicates with its neighbors, so you know that if two blocks are next to each other, they’re talking. Specifications: For ages 4 and up. Cubelets are lead free.
