Pasajero

2006 release from this modern Flamenco outfit from Spain, still going strong after 20 years of critically successful releases. Similar in style to their Roots album from 2004, Pasajero finds the band moving away from the keyboards that dominated their late ’90s output, preferring to concentrate on the joyful sounds of the flamenco guitar, percussion, accordion and some brass. In essence, it’s a return to form for the band. Throw in a little reggae and add some global grooves to the mix and you’ve got yet another outstanding Gipsy Kings album! 14 tracks including ‘Si Tu Me Quieres’, ‘Pueblos’ and ‘Chan Chan’. Sony/BMG.
