Christine Bleakley, Jodie Kidd, Cherie Lunghi, Heather Small, Lisa Snowdon, Rachel Stevens, Gillian Taylforth and Jessie Wallace represented the women, while Andrew Castle, Tom Chambers, Phil Daniels, Mark Foster, Austin Healey, Gary Rhodes, John Sergeant and Don Warrington were the male celebrity dancers. Sixteen celebrity contestants, paired with internationally renowned professional dancers took on everything from the Tango to the Paso Doble as they fought to keep their place in the competition.

As the dancers left the series or progressed to fine tune their steps, the tension–and the standard of their performances–reached astonishing levels.
