When God sent two life-long friends to deliver an unanticipated message, a new-found door of transformation and joy opened up for Claudio Morelli. Claudio thought he had figured out his retirement plans following a fulfilling career as an educational leader, but God was orchestrating something else for him. After forty plus years as a successful educational leader in Canada, Claudio Morelli was called to serve with The Wellspring Foundation for Education in Rwanda; a country continuing to transform following the tragedy of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide when close to a million people died. 

In Learning and Leading in the Land of a Thousand Hills, Claudio shares his experiences while serving in Rwanda. The book describes how his unexpected leadership journey has brought about tremendous discovery as he has interacted with the resilient and faithful Rwandan people for over six years. Claudio’s experiences have impacted and influenced his transformation as a servant leader, educator and writer.
